New Zealand Information Systems Doctoral Consortium (NZISDC)
The 17th New Zealand Information Systems Doctoral Consortium (NZISDC) will be held on 12th September 2026 at the Victoria University of Wellington
About the Consortium
The annual New Zealand Information Systems Doctoral Consortium (NZISDC) is a premier forum designed for Information Systems doctoral students across New Zealand to showcase their research-in-progress. The event provides a supportive environment to present current research ideas, methodologies, and approaches, while receiving constructive feedback from both peers and leading academics in the field.
Why Attend?
The Consortium offers a unique opportunity for IS doctoral students to:
Gain Insights: Learn about the diverse research focuses of peers from all eight New Zealand universities.
Network: Engage directly with distinguished Information Systems faculty and the IS professoriate.
Collaborate: Discuss emerging interests and methodologies in a collaborative, academic setting.
Who Can Participate?
NZISDC 2026 is open to all New Zealand-based PhD or DBA students at any stage of their research journey. We also warmly welcome supervisors and Information Systems academic staff from all New Zealand universities to attend and contribute to the discussions.
About Us
The consortium is proudly organised under the auspices of the Professors and Heads of Information Systems in New Zealand (PHIS-NZ). PHIS-NZ is a dedicated peer network of Professors, Associate Professors, and Heads of Departments responsible for leading and administering IS research and education nationwide.
